White Cortex Salt Cortex Salicis (Salicaceae)
Description: up to 30 m bush or tree, with fragile twigs, dark brown, deep cracked. Leaves - lanceolate, tapered, fine serrated, sideways, develop simultaneously with the leaves. They bloom in March - May.

Chemical composition: the pears contain 5 to 7% glycoside salicin, which is present in the body under the influence of the saligenin salivary enzyme, which is further oxidized to salicylic acid. Containing 5 to 10% of tanning substances.
Application: internal: high fever, cold, rheumatism, arthritis, gout, gastrointestinal diseases, headache.
External: for skin diseases, boils, purulent wounds, inflammation of the mouth, sore throat and gums. It has antipyretic, anti-rheumatic, clamping and anti-inflammatory action.
Preparation: 1 tbsp of bark is poured with 1/4 liter of cold water, which is immediately strained after boiling. For baths: 2 tablespoons per 1 liter of water.
Note: Do not exceed the dose for internal use.
Usage: internally: 2-3 cups of tea per day for adults. External: in the form of decoction for baths, washes and compresses.
